本標準規定了金屬材料在高溫腐蝕條件下的等溫暴露氧化試驗的設備、氣體供應、試樣、試驗過(guò)程、質(zhì)量變化的計算、質(zhì)量變化的分析、試驗后試樣的評價(jià)和試驗報告等內容。
本標準適用于在環(huán)境溫度至高溫下的氣體環(huán)境中的金屬材料的熱循環(huán)腐蝕試驗（即循環(huán)氧化試驗）方法（每個(gè)試樣均進(jìn)行一系列重復的、規則的、受控的溫度循環(huán)）。進(jìn)行適當調整后還可用于其他材料的測試。
